Peaches in the rain slicker

Peaches didn't want to be left out so she also modeled the slicker!

Best Buns eating together

Kiwi is ready!

Since all it does is rain anymore, Kiwi decided to dress for the occasion. She is so tolerable of me dressing her up. I just love her! I really notice the difference in how she trusts me now.... Although she still tries to run away from me when I try to pick her up. Sometimes she let's me catch her though too!

Best bunny friends

Punky Peaches

Love her punked out spikey look!

Peaches sitting up

It took me a while but I finally got a picture of one of the bunnies sitting up. Peaches is still running away from me but I think it can be expected since we only have her a little over a week. She has started running over to the fence when I come in the room..... Knowing it's free run time on the room. She is so sweet! Unlike Kiwi, she hadn't nibbled on me at all yet.

Peaches

Peaches

Peaches

Peaches leg shot

Haven't seen Kiwi lay like this yet, but got a good shot of Peaches..... So cute!

Drumroll please.........

The new bunny's name is PEACHES!!!! Decided to go with the fruit theme name.  Will probably need one more name yet as long as one of the three baby Lionheads are a Doe.  They are so cute at 2 weeks old.

So a little about Peaches:  Peaches was born on July 1, 2011.  She is an American Fuzzy Lop, Tortoise Shell color.... just like Kiwi.  Since she is a show quality bunny, she has a pedigree.  Her parent bunnies are Sire:  Murphy's Melvin, Dam: Hares from Heaven Zoe.

Peaches is a sweet, not so little compared to Kiwi, bunny.  It's so funny the size difference!  She is a chow hound bunny. I've seen a big difference in Kiwi too.  It's like she is teaching Kiwi different things to do.  Peaches is a chewy bunny.  Loves to chew the baskets ad mats up.  I noticed the hanging hay balls and hay tubes go empty overnight since Peaches came to us.  I also bought a bag of rolled oats yesterday.  After Dyan, the bunny breeder, explained to me exactly what and where to get rolled oats.  Kiwi just LOVES them.  She has been munching down on them.  Haven't seen Peaches nibbling them yet but I'm sure she is.

Peaches is just like Kiwi where she doesn't like to be picked up, or I should say the picking up process.  Dyan told me that most bunnies don't.  BUT she does like to be held..... as long as you hold her, she will lay there.  She likes to be combed, and sometimes even lays down when you pet or comb her.

She's not too much of an explorer of the room yet, but shes getting there. Kiwi started out slow too, but now runs all over.   She loves the bunny run outside of the cage and runs up and down in there.  She's a great jumper, and can jump really far!

She still isn't approaching me on her own yet when she's running in the room.  Not worried about it because thats how Kiwi was at first too.  Now Kiwi regularily hops over to me to get a little lovin' !

Pictures later!

What's better than 1 cute fuzzy bunny?????

.....2 cute fuzzy bunnies! Ok, Kiwi got a companion. I didn't think any other bunny could be as adorable as Kiwi but then her twin came along! Now this may be a shock to you but Kiwi is the bunny in the back. The beauty in the front is yet unnamed. She is also an American Fuzzy Lop and believe it or not she's only 9 weeks old, whereas Kiwi is now 13 weeks. Quite a size difference! "Unnamed" bunny is a show quality bunny...... Way loads to learn to show bunnies. Her and Kiwi have bonded nicely. They have been laying next to each other and licking each others heads. So sweet! For as small as she is, Kiwi definatly wants to be the boss. Kiwi seems so happy to have a companion. Can't wait to see what happens in the next few days.

Kiwi lays down

I Love everything about this bunny. Tonight she was very relaxed and wanted to lay in front of me. First time I've seen her lay down outside the cage AND right in front of me. She let me pet her too. So this is her process: scratch, scratch, scratch, then she throws herself down to her side. So cute!

Saw her yawn yesterday too. NOT a pretty sight!
